By praying to Ma-Guru, beings become indestructible. By contemplating on atmaram(the Soul-God) every trouble is destroyed right at its root. One who recognizes the voice of the soul sees even those things that are invisible.
The life breath is the one we worship. Our own worship is our worship.
The guru in the form of the life force can be seen and found in all times, everywhere, very easily, through practice, and many fruits can be gained from him. Guru is not a body, he is the life force.
Faith in our own life force seems to be decreasing. If your faith One who gathers and saves the life breath achieves the state of ecstasy and omniscient consciousness very simply and easily.
Air, without vibration, provides complete stability to this life breath.
One who does not see earth as earth, one who does not see air as air, one who does not see the lustre as lustre, one who does not see water as water, but who rather sees them all as a refuge for his life breath, he is the one who sees in the right way, O Sudharma. goes and adheres to an invisible God whose voice can’t be heard, this will inevitably have disastrous results.
One who hides and nurtures attachments deep within himself the life force is very far away from him, and he remains unacquainted with it.
Remain respectful to the life force until the very final moment because the only thing to be destroyed is this perishable body. In this cosmic bowl, the pran will always maintain our memories of our many practices, activities, and so on. When even you desire you will enter a beautiful body, and recalling the past incarnations of your life force you will be able to do anything.
Having neglected their life force, overwhelmed by attachments and fear, beings seem aflame in the pyre of worries.
[Give] respect and honour to the life force is like worshipping the knowable God.
The life force is the lustre of glory itself.
The life force is one with the infinite. That which has neither beginning nor end, such an infinity is known as the life force. The life force is not knowable through external eyes or touch. It is identical to the vibrations within us. Knowledge and experience of this can only be given to us by saints.
The life force is the one known as the unborn, the infallible, which can always be found, in all places.
This Mother in the form of the life force is very easy to know through our actions.
The day this Mother in the form of the life force leaves us, people will cremate this body like a tuft of straw.
The day this Mother in the form of the life force leaves takes this life force and merges it into herself, that day the whole world will turn into darkness. In my eyes this will be the absolute end of all existence, even if it be otherwise in the eyes of another. In my eyes, just as at the end of existence, everything will disappear.
Resting within every being, the eternal consciousness produces vibrations in the form of air. However clean the being may be, if he is not stable, he cannot see himself, or me, in the swing of the life force breath air.
TIME
Our extremely valuable time is rapidly running away in a continuous succession of morning, afternoon and evening and today and tomorrow. Today goes away every day and tomorrow stays tomorrow: it will never arrive. Tomorrow, somethings else will come.
If we keep overlooking time, if we keep misusing and cursing it, then we will not be able to make any history of our own, and there will be no justification for our taking birth.
The bad habits that we have instead of attending them in a timely manner, we invite many kinds of uncalled for diseases into our lives. Having done so, we are forced to pray to and to beseech God, and so we try to snatch away his time as well.
You have come into this world along and, like the morning, the afternoon, and the evening you will depart will this day and this time.
Although it is not good to fixate on the post, neither it is good to completely forget it. Nor it is wise to understand the present only as the present, because the present is very different from what you now understand it to be. It’s so different, we just can’t know. It is the unknown who knows this, that unknown whom we called God. It is he who gives us the inspiration to say something, to hear something and to come up to this point of understanding.
Everyone want to gamble away their valuable time on a bet, and destory it. Not only do they not realize its value, along with their valuable time they also devour their feelings of [self] respect. Then they exude terrible dankness into their environment and destroy their lives.
Whenever a good day or a good time begins, obstacles definitely arise therein. Many obstacles begin to arise.
When you become as time bound as are the birds and the other animals, then you will be victorious over your senses, and even over that faulty life of yours shall you have some victory. Then your daily routine will become a source of inspiration to others. Your livelihood will also make others happy which you, and nobody will attack it.
Do not destroy time. Time will destroy you. This life is not designed for on just one thing for your whole life, or for the year, or for the whole month. It is time bound: for such a time year, or shall I perform such an act. After that I will also make an effect towards my livelihood through which I will be able to nurture and provider for my dependents, my friends and relatives my children and grandchildren, my family and my aged parents. If we have an insulting attitude, that we are the only one [i, e, the best] then our quest will be absoluely incomplete. The result of this incompleteness may lead to our disciplined practice, our contemplation, our meditation and everything else to go to waste.
WORSHIP
· The day you make an effort to look at yourself, that day all your thoughts bound by your desires and by your past deeds will disappear. As long as you keep trying to look at other, you will find yourself to be without shelter, and very away from yourself.
· In the form of the sacred festival Navaratri we have this time available to us which can give us great strength and intellect and wisdom, and great knowledge. If during this period with ourselves we become free from deceit, wickedness and flaws and if perform our japa and so on, then we will definitely achieve success.
· [On Navaratri]: this festival is called Navaratri by those people who have their secure monopoly in the reading of Saptachandi or in some rituals or worship. We think that the name of this festival is ‘New Day’. The newest day of our life is about to arrive. We should beg that creative energy that our torpor might be broken, and that those numerous dreams right by there roots. This is why this festival is celebrated. Where people should have talked about ‘the new day’, instead they named it ‘the nine nights. Who doesn’t know that the night is made up of dreams? At night many bad dreams take, place, and what dirty deeds do we do in our dreams! Only the robber roams at night. A saint does not roam about at night.
· Your hungry, your desire, and your greed bother you and they all begin to assault you together. In that condition, if you perform fast then it is good from the point view of your health. But in this kaliyuga even this is not required. If you fast on the first of the lunar for night (pratipada), and then on the eight day (ashtami), then even that is enough.
· Friends! This New Day is an occasion for making a vow. If you make a vow, you will be able to carry out the newest tasks of your life. The rest of your life will progress very well on its path. Otherwise this life will end as a curse. On the occasion of this sacred festival of the New Day, may you relinquish your night full of dark dreams, and may you move towards the newest that is yours, and may you make a vow for it.
· On the occasion of this sacred festival of Navaratri, what even you learn, teach it to worthy people who come to you who want to progress on the path of truth. Never tell it to under serving people. This will weaken your own strength as well as theirs.
· [On the worship of the seven goddesses]: In the villages, the seven headed edifice that you see represents the lineage deities of the seven main backward castes in the villages. They represent the worship of their lineage daughters. With them the eighth icon that exists of Aghor Bhairava, also known as Akshobhya Bhairava. Village folk worship the seven goddesses to chase away evil souls from the sky, for peace, to maintain a good and pure atmosphere in the village and at home, and to protect their homes family, friends and the village from the attack of evil souls. We derive everything by worshipping them. Even demigods bow down and are forced to give us the fruit we desire. These seven icons represent the lineage brides of the seven backward castes in the villages which, respectively, are the gardener, the barber, the washerman, the janitor, the sweeper and the cowherd. They are ritually established by the Kshatriyas or by Kshatriya like people of the village.
· You should know the ideal of your worship, its various aspects any mysteries. [You should know] in which form should we worship her so that the ideals of your family, friends and society are maintained while also keeping her character intact.
· Destroy our bad deeds; we worship to achieve our dear divinity.
· You perform a fast where potatoes, jackfruit, bananas, eggplants and various other fruits are prescribed. This is not a fast, friends! This is a scheme by traders to cheat innocent village folks. All these rules that have been made for prayer and worship that you should eat only these things, and that you will only find her if you eat these things, otherwise not is nothing but an absolute lie. However might you remain, if she is to find you, then she will find you. Oh, you should at least stay there. However, you aren’t even prepared even to be present there, friends.
· We relinquish absurd things, absurd thoughts and absurd ravings. That is what we call worship friends.
· You should worship the creative energy. I will not ask you to worship things.
· Tomorrow is the festival of Janmashtami. Due to goallessness, there will be a lot of singing and dancing and ostentation. That very day is the birthday of the Mother. Poets and historians have linked this day with the Mother’s birthday so that the priests who worship the Mother’s birthday may be able to join in the festive celebrations. The same sentiment is hidden in these festive of Navaratri during the month of Chaitra (March April). In Dashara, Vijayadashmi and the others are the creative energy that is worshipped, rather than being a particular person who is worshipped.
· We are able to understand: why did this particular bird come into this garden today? Why did we see this particular animal here today? What will be the result of seeing these symbols over the course of a week? If such and such forms or such and such tendencies become visible to us, then what does that means? If we saw such and such a thing in the morning, what does it portend? That is why, on getting up in the morning, we pray to our own self, O, my morning! May you be very good? O my afternoon and my night! May you be very nice, very peaceful and very auspicious? May you give us good sleep? Let us not be assaulted by any inauspicious asterism, or robber or marauder or any else. Let not sleeplessness attack us, let not anything whatsoever attack us, let not any sorrow or pain attack us. We want peace. We like to live in peace.
· [Elaborating on the importance of Anaya Diwas]: Today is not my birthday. On this day, I received the grace of food from the hands of an old woman. I went to begging and I had not eaten in many days. Wherever I went to beg, all would insult me. If I would go amongst spiritual seekers, they would chase me away too. Everywhere was I only welcomed with insulting words? I was very neglected. On today’s date, on the 14th of the dark half of the moon in the month of Magh, that woman, who was eating some grains, she gave me a handful of her own food. From that day onwards I received clothes, I received water also, and I received so much that I began to give it to others.
· The inspiration that comes to you from deep within when you sit down to perform your japa, your worship which is known as worship with offerings of flowers, incense, lamps, food and everything else that is a mere formality. That worship has already happened. As soon as a pure thought arises in your hart that ‘‘I have to do this act’’, that act gets done right there and then. Then you sit down to fulfill the formality of its performance, and a unique vibration emanates from your body. That vibration is such that it begets for you even the company of that divinity.
· Regarding worship japa, and meditation, and with the divinities and their icons, the cleverness that we have turns into stupidity. That stupidity [socially accepted cleverness] gives birth too many faults within us.
· The extended time that we take to perform the various actions during worship is engendered by the sentiment that most of our time ought to be spent in doing good actions. Otherwise, if someone we know can hear us just by our calling them once, won’t that that divinity be able to hear the noise of our many prayers? It hears everything.
· Nothing else happens with prayers and worship. What happens with prayers and worship is this: our free time in which we get tricked, engrossed in playing cards, or fruitless debates or gossiping that time we well, and we begin to live in happiness. This is why the Minis and the
· Rishis established this tradition of prayers worship, meditation and contemplation, so that we may be able to fully use our free time which we otherwise squander uselessly.
· The icon that people addressed as mother Durga and worshipped for nine days, today on the eleventh day they are saying goodbye to her. They are taking her to set her afloat on the water. Who made this rule? What kind of a formality is it to give birth and then to kill it? Why establish life, and then take that life away? This is what is known as sin mixed virtue. This has more sin and little virtue. This is a crime that is knowingly performed and which is not forgiven.
· The process of worship that is delineated in the aghor treatises is not very different [from others]. Here they prescribe the performance of vrat (fasting) while there [in the Aghor way] they prescribe the undertaking of vrat (making a vow or resolve). For Aghor it is not prescribed to fast. Keeping prescriptions and proscriptions and assets and faults in mind they make a vow to do a particular thing or not to do a particular thing.
· Within the procedure about making a vow in the 21st chapter of the Aughor treatise is found a sentence which says that all those we think to be bad, or those who are very bad, this is merely an adverse public opinion, for even they can become someone of great value someday. Therefore, do not throw them away, nor should you accept them completely. In its own time, even poison can act as Amrit. It has a unique character of its own. Let it remain where it is.
· In the same 21st chapter there is another sentence which says we will eat fish but we will not cast the net, for who knows how many more beings may have to be killed because of that. We will make only one our food one whose life has now come to an end. That is why they throw the hook, so that only one approaches.
· Also in the same [book] is that passage called the treatise on Shakti, wherein it is said that the creative energy is variously identified as Devi or as deities of many different kinds and that we try to understand her by dividing her into so many categories, but that this is a way for us to understand her, and is not her way. There’s only one style, and there is no other style in it. From that creative energy described in the treatise on shakti you can perfrom tantra mantra, magic and things like that, and you can also get to know God or the nature of the aghor, as well as fulfill the great vow that you have taken in your life, for it is said there that after these performances we should also move towards our pure livelihood.
· In the morning, when you people are involved in prayer, worship meditation and contemplation many small birds perched on these trees and vines makes sounds with their very sweet voices. If you’ve been paying attention you might have heard them, too. Even hanuman once said this sermon in the form of a parrot. “On the Ghats of chitrakut saint have gathered. Tulsidas makes sandalwood paste, and anoints Raghubir’s forehead.”
In the same way, at kedar (Kedarnath in the Himalayas) above Gupt kashi is a Himalayas) about Gupt kashi is a temple to the Mother. There, the Munis saw the Mother in the form of tiny birds. In our culture and in our worship these birds are very important to us, whose son’s are so sweet, and who sing along as well as in groups.
Ring the gong to rid the ills’’. I am ringing that gong which will make all my worldly, other worldly physical and divine enemies lose their hearing, and their gaze will not fall onto us. Then the mother lance in hand should destroy them. With this sentiment should that sound emanate, and from the damaru (a hand held, hourglass shaped, two sided drum) as well similar sweet sounds should ring. If the damaru is played then it should be in the hands of very well trained person so that the sound be in the instruments has some meaning, that it has some symbolic language. If this is not possible then it is better not to play it at all. Like the temple priests who don’t know much, ignorance does not suit you people.
When you perform worship then, if you ignore the sounds of those birds, it’s possible you may remain deprived of the right way to know [the truth]. It's possible the voice of our dear dear divinity be in the form. In this form, our saints. Mahatmatmas and mahapurushas have found their dear divinity.
When we worship we sit in an asana (posture); we meditate sitting in a triangular yantra from. These postures have a great importance. Looking at their physical postures, one can assess a human, and ask, what kind of thoughts would this person have? What was he thinking ten minutes ago, what was he affected by an hour ago, and what was his mental state on coming here? You will find this vision if you worship with an alert eye.
Dear friends! In prayer and contemplation we keep our backbone straight and we make some postures with our arms. Sitting in there postures, the lustre, the aura, the vibration that emanate from our body [is so very beneficial that] you cannot yourself gauge what kind of a mental state you’re in. How stable person you become; you also get to know whether you are fickle or not. Whether you be performing your prayers and worship or if rather you are involved in earning your livelihood, it makes no difference in your stable condition. If someone comes to you out of the blue and rudely asks you about such and such a work, even then you’ll behave politely with him; because of its effect, he’ll even become polite himself.
Eating, drinking and putting things in the sacred fire is not yagya (ritual oblations into sacred fire). That is why we should be very alert to each one of our acts.
If your way of thinking and your mentality remains good, then you will be dutiful. All the tantras (bodies of knowledge; organizations) that you have the ashram tantra, the home tantra, or tantra of prayer and worship these tantras, will give you knowledge of the mantra. Knowing the mantra, you will achieve that sight in which you will see only friends everywhere. You will have no enemies. You will achieve great joy.
With your valour, strength, intellect and prudence, you can progress. If a human wants, he can progress even farther than that if he has faith in tantra. I am not talking here about rajatantra (monarchy), prajatantra (republic), lokatantra (democracy), or samajtantra (socialism). This is also a tantra. Tantra means any organization which is very correct and mature and which takes us towards an equal vision and behavior for all. Humans have great valour; relinquishing any other hope, walking the path shown by their guru, and with their difficult discipline, they can achieve that.
When the worldly mother has unfathomable love, then what to say about the other worldly mother? You will have a right to that when you live within the tantra. When you live in the tantra in the right way, and when you know well what this tantra is in the end, after all. This is also a tantra like rajatantra, prajatantra, and the other tantras which have been made to give direction to society. [There are principles] which unify society, hold together, and give it a good organization. In the same way, whenever you get skilled in tantra, your mind, heart and all the senses which normally all sing their own songs separately will unite together and help you.
That which is the Truth; we have been involved until today in investigating it, that our mind should get involved in that Truth, it should turn towards that truth. But our mind just can’t do it. The day you get to fully know that Truth, that tantra, that worship, that thing, on that day your heart and mind will become completely free. They will go even beyond the state of ecstatic consciousness.
Until the day of your death, with even but a moment of that time you can achieve that supreme essence which is addressed as parameswari, Bhagawati, Bhawani, and Sarveshwari. Then the tantra that we have will continue for many days in the traditional way. Followers of yaga tantra (a body of knowledge concerned with giving ritual oblations to the fire), gyantantra (the body of knowledge of austere practices) and their worshippers will keep coming here.
[The effects of tantra]: It creates a lustre. That aura is very efficacious. If you say something to someone, if you give then all those things happen. And more than that, the biggest tantra is that all veins and channels that are in our body, we thread each one of those into this threaded (tapestry). In the same way that people move their rosary in their hands, someone else will move us, this threaded garland, in their hands. He will move us again and again and doing so, he will bring into us that charm and joy.
[After my leaving]: new people will arrive. There will be a new organization. A new tantra will arrive and that tantra will continue so long as that next tantric remains. If that tantric is a good knower of mantra, then he too can change the lines of fate. In the Bharat region of Jambu Island, and especially on Ganga’s banks this knowledge known as Brahma knowledge can be achieved in the shortest time possible.
Peace is not just a word. Just screaming peace and peace is not peace. It does not happen like this, actually. When in solitude you are alonsolitude you are alone and you are concentrated then you achieve peace and you feel good. You stay away from any thought that would fling your heart and mind into illusion and take you towards ill virtue. This is disciplined practice, and playing attention [to subtle things.] is nothing more than such a disciplined practice. Sitting calmly in peace, as an instrument you maintain attention on all that happens within you.
On this sacred occasion of Navaratri we try to bind that Unthinkable into our thoughts so that she stays in our thoughts so we can make this life of ours fruitful, so that we might be able to cleanse the filth of social disapproval, which make a human a target of adverse notions. Although to think about that unthinkable is not within the realm of our mind itself. Nevertheless, prayer and worship performed with affection and care, meditation, japa and contemplation all unthinkable into our. There is no other way.
The festival, for whose you all came today, is a very tender, sweet, charming, and profound one. It teaches us to fold our hands, to be polite to each other, to give garlands to each other. With that it also teaches us to sit, to sit to sit and remain silent, and remaining silent, it gives us that gravity which is very important for human beings. It asks us to leave all fickleness.
Friends! What we call prayer and worship, what we call religious acts, what we know under numerous names and forms—all this is effective only when we give up our excessive cleverness. Excessive cleverness makes a person weak and opens the way for ignorance to enter. With that, excessive cleverness forces us to worship demons instead of gods.
Prayer and worship, meditation and contemplation, silence and calmness take away all animosity, all sorrow and every trouble. However may you be , you will surely transform. You will evaluate your change yourself. The other person who sees you will also think that you are a very sweet person, a very humble person, who keeps his hands folded day and night. Who keeps his knees on the earth. Who never becomes unrestrained. Who is never ever seen as being verbose.

One can not have bliss unless he is broad enough to wish and seek it for others as well. This is divine rule. The Sanatan (dharma) religion is the oldest religion known to human beings. Sarve bhabantu sukhinah, Sarve santu niramayah; Sarve bhadrani pashyantu; Ma kashchid dukha bhag bhavet. ( May everyone be happy ; May everyone be healthy ; May everyone see (experience) good things; and May no one suffer from sorrow.)
